KATHY O'NEILL

By embracing change, I’ve obtained two degrees, including a Master's in Public Health from Yale. I've professionally reinvented myself three times, discovering new passions and skills at each juncture. I‘ve travelled and worked extensively throughout Latin America and Europe. I’ve lived in the heart of several major metropolitan cities, a sleepy Atlantic coastal island, and a remote southern tobacco farm.

After ten years working in health care and another twenty as a producer and director in video and film, I’ve learned a couple of fundamental life truths. First, being of service to others is the most fulfilling way one can make the world a better place. And second, we only need to leverage our inner strengths to create lives where we can be healthy, happy, and prosperous.

After training and becoming certified as a professional life coach, I’ve launched my final career, helping others transition through significant life changes. Whether the change you desire is starting a new venture, shifting your career ambitions, transitioning into retirement, dealing with becoming an empty nester, taking care of aging parents, moving across the country, transforming your relationships, or just finding the focus that makes you happy, I’m here to help.

Kathy’s course on transition came at just the right time. Grey divorcing, overcoming open heart surgery, providing care to parents, grandmother of three, a recent graduate from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, starting an entirely new path in career, and looking for a new life partner. It is as if my life was 18 with all new beginnings in the mix except this time, I had a lot more wisdom. With Kathy’s expertise, I was able to walk through what were my priorities, dream about really what I wanted my future to hold (and leave behind), and put in place systems that did not overwhelm me. Her support came from being someone who has navigated transitions many times. She offered tips and tricks, her support is invaluable in learning to leverage inner strengths. Kathy helped to co-create my next stage of life, developing a plan filled with support so that I can sit soundly in this Age of Possibility.
I deeply appreciated Kathy’s approach to mastering change and transition, she has taken what can be a scary and chaotic time of uncertainty for many people and guides them to just take the next step, no matter how big or small. Even though I have been through many changes in my life, what I took away was, keep it simple and focus on what is next. It is great to have a guide like Kathy walking the path with you as you step into new possibilities. She is very practical, encouraging, and allows spaciousness for participants to share their own experiences, getting the sense of being seen and heard.
