Capturing Memories

On Canvas

2025 Retreats

July 17th-20th

This beginner-friendly artist retreat offers a supportive and relaxing environment. No experience is necessary, but if you have experience, we will work to bring you to the next level. With step-by-step guidance, you’ll create a beautiful piece of art inspired by the stunning Bay of Fundy, all while tapping into your inner creativity and enjoying a peaceful, stress-free experience. We provide all the art supplies.

You will learn three basic transferable painting techniques:

  • How to use a value scale

  • Basic colour mixing, especially mixing greens

  • Creating atmospheric perspective

This retreat is perfect for the person who would like to...

  • release their creative soul from within.

  • challenge their mind both visually and cognitively.

  • develop a sustainable, mindful hobby that becomes a relaxing escape or a group activity.

  • create memories of precious moments.

Francine Quinn-Steeves

I have been creating art for 25 years. My works are found in homes across Canada, the USA and the UK. Coastal Scenes are a favourite and have been captured in water colour, oils and acrylic on paper, canvas and murals. As a previous Home Economics teacher, teaching online water colour classes during COVID was a natural fit and led to teaching art courses at the Saint John Learning Exchange, an organization I am passionate about, as well as semi-private classes.

Kathleen Holland

I am a veteran of stepping into new Possibility.  From Corporate Executive to Global Social Entrepreneur to Coach/Mentor, working on six continents, living on both coasts of Canada and climbing Kilimanjaro at the age of 50. The common denominator has been following my heart, trusting my inner wisdom to guide me into the next stage of my life and having the courage to take the leap. Nothing gives me greater joy than inspiring, connecting and supporting women to do the same.  That is why I founded Age of Possibility.
