LYNN MINNETT

“Learning to ask better questions” has been the golden torch of truth, knowledge, and possibilities and to dive deeper into how to maintain a healthy mind and body. In my 50s, I was called to enter a full master’s program in Osteopathic Manual Therapy to understand holistically how to promote health. This seemed like a natural extension of my yoga practice which began in my 20’s. When yoga came into my life the focus was on a physical practice and then I discovered the powerful effects of calming the mind, mastering energy with breath work, meditation, reiki, being pain care aware/trauma informed, restorative yoga and yoga nidra.

Today, I focus on women’s health, understanding the body as a unit, and that structure and function are interrelated. With a solid understanding of functional movement, my yoga practice encompasses the learning of the Iyengar tradition, using props to explore the fundamentals of what poses can offer.

Classes are usually in a workshop format, so the science and experiential learners get a chance to integrate the progressive themes presented. Participants are encouraged to ask questions and adapt their practice to their own needs. Whether it is a specific health concern, improving posture, building strength or flexibility, exploring the nervous system, connecting to the inner resources within and diving deeper in rest and restoration, all are welcome. Looking forward to the joy of discovering as we explore the earth, fire, water and wind elements and inspire balance both on and off the mat.

Join me in the workshop on BALANCE. (Fall 2024 -start date to be determined) and see you at AoP retreats.
